Walpiri interjection meaning “yes!”

I am an experienced speech pathologist and academic with clinical and research expertise in children’s speech, language and literacy with a particular focus on speech sound disorders and multilingual children.
I am currently studying a Master of Primary Teaching.

Yuwayi is the Walpiri word my mum used throughout my childhood when she meant a resounding “yes!”

It is a reminder to me to deliberately choose to do the interesting, challenging, important
and fun things in all aspects of my life.
